Glasses of Satisfaction

Five minutes after the previous posting I was soundly asleep; it’s truly amazing how much better one feels after an hour’s crashing out, even sufficiently refreshed to enjoy the final episode of the current series of ‘The Brief’ (ITV1).

Le vin juste selected, to accompany our viewing, was Domaine Liboreau Sauvignon Blanc, VdP Charentais, 2004 which never fails to refresh and satisfy, on a par with some of the finest Loire Sauvignons.

Other recently consumed glasses of satisfaction include Vina Tarapaca Cabernet Sauvignon, Central Valley (Chile), 2003 – a fruity gem and, a Villa Maria Private Reserve Riesling, Marlborough (NZ), 2002 which, although hovering between very good and excellent, would have proved even more exciting in another couple of years time.
