A Heaviness Of Sleep

Yesterday proved a day with much requirement for sleep, not the "I need a rest" variety, more the throbbing eyeball socket with spinning head insistence that the body must yield. These then turn out to be what I call ‘heavy’ sleep, far less refreshing somehow than ‘deep’ sleep. The body and mind cried out so much for rest, it was almost as if their bawling disturbed the very sleep which they craved!
Caught up on some much needed sleep last night but, that didn’t prevent the body, once more, yielding to sleep this afternoon. The work on the bathroom proceeds slowly and, I kid myself that once that’s completed it will all be like a return to the Garden of Eden.
Just had a ‘phone call from our special friend (cum surrogate son) who has just moved in to his new flat in the Midlands. Our thoughts and prayers are with him at this time of transition.
