Emerged from my duvet lair at 10.30am; a refreshing change from the unreasonable hours I’d emerged on earlier days this week. By mid-day I almost bounded down the stairs, the knee joints flexing as if they were meant to. This afternoon came the time of testing, forty plus minutes of lawn-mowing … hopefully the last cut needed this season.
By the time this cutting task was finished, the spring had gone from the knees and aches, veering towards pain, were being felt in neck, back and lower limbs. So, I called it a day and, went in for a sit-down which transmogrified into a lie down appendixed with a sit-down.
It really is good to have a better day and, hopefully I’ve been sufficiently cautious to avoid a major setback. Whether I’ll remain sufficiently alert to watch ‘Wycliffe’ (ITV3) and ‘Spooks’ (BBC1) remains to be seen.
